Greetings from the Rector
As we begin our Holy week journey for 2010 I welcome you to Trinity Episcopal Church. We at Trinity are united by Jesus’ call to love the Lord our God with all our heart and mind and soul and strength and to love our neighbor as ourselves. The Holy Eucharist, holy communion, on Sunday’s strengthens us and joins us together with Jesus Christ and with each other.
As we move into the heat of summer at Trinity church, our lives slow down a little, many of us take a much needed vacation and life ant the church becomes a little less structured and formal. The life of the church, however, is changed but not ended. We invite you to visit us for one of our two Sunday morning worship services. The first at 8:00 a.m. is quiet and simple without music and is a very peaceful way to begin your day and your week. The second time of worship at 10:15 is more lively and full of beautiful music. Come and Join us. Summer also brings the “Lake Service” at Bonner’s Point on Lake Jordan at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
During the summer our youth group continues to meet every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and our adult Sunday School program meets at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. If you are seeking a spiritual home where you can grow in your relationship with God and God’s people, we invite you to join us at Trinity as we “seek and serve Christ in all people, loving our neighbor as ourselves!”
If you want to know more about Trinity, send us an email or give us a call at 334-537-7500.
Blessings and Peace,
The Rev. Ben Alford
