Christian Education
Trinity provides wonderful Christian Education for all ages, children and adults, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. every Sunday. The first item on the agenda is breakfast for all. After breakfast, Tonia Ayers and Sue Beumer lead a team of adults who teach and care for our children. The class is taught like a one room school house with interaction between children of all ages.
During July of each year, a one week long, rip-roaring evening Vacation Bible School takes place. It is not to be missed.
Three offerings are available for adults and teenagers. A study of the Bible “from beginning to end,” led by Ben Alford. A study of the Sunday collects led by George Stein, and the “Gospel According to the Simpsons,” led by Suellen Young.
Trinity’s Youth Group (EYC) also meet Sunday evenings at 5:00 for fellowship and study. This year they are studying “the Gospel According to Harry Potter.” Amy Jones, Daniel Reid and Ben Alford provide leadership and support to our youth.
A Nursery is provided for our younger children during the 10:15 worship service. Just prior to the beginning of the Liturgy of the Table the children are brought into the church by “Miss Rose,” for a teaching minute with the Rector. Children may then stay with their parents for communion or return to the Nursery with “Miss Rose.”
During Advent, Lent and at other special times during the year, additional educational programs take place.
