ACTIVITIES

The Activities Committee plans and coordinates special events throughout the year where we come together to celebrate various occasions or just to enjoy one another's company. Some activities have become annual traditions, such as the Mother's Day and Father's Day banquets, the Easter egg hunt, the Easter banquet, the reception for graduating seniors, and the ice cream social. Others occur according to needs, such as baby showers and receptions for special events.

While most of the activities happen at the church, many take place elsewhere, such as the annual parish retreat, the family campout, and the foyer groups who meet together in one another's homes. The Activities Committee is constantly trying out new ideas. This year, they have discussed having a talent show, an art auction, a "Trinity Tasters," and even a golf tournament.

Other groups besides the Activities Committee sponsor various activities for the parish. The youth sponsor an annual Valentine's Day banquet, the Episcopal Church Women hold an annual rummage sale at which the men sell barbecued Boston Butts, and the men of the church get together at various times throughout the year to eat together and swap tall tales.

At Trinity, we just like being together, and one of our favorite activities is making new friends. So we will continue to think up new ways for us to involve ourselves and others in the life of the church.
